At Ascent Christian, adventure is about the journey of following Jesus. Biblically that adventure leads us onto mountaintops, valleys, wildernesses and gardens of life. Our adventure class is one of the ways we guide students in discovering what it means to live a life of faith and exploration.

Vision of Adventure Program

We exist to cultivate lifelong servant leaders, united as a team to become more like Christ, and to build skills that empower students to live adventurously in God’s creation.

Canyoneering

One very unique aspect of our school is an emphasis in canyoneering, which is traveling in canyons using a variety of techniques that may include scrambling, climbing, rappelling, and swimming. Students travel to locations such as Zion National Park, the Grand Canyon, and South eastern Utah to descend technical canyons.

Classrooms + Wilderness

Along with classroom lectures, students spend ample time outdoors putting their skills to practice–both locally and out of state.
